Biography

Attorney Meredith G. Lewis is a Certified Family Law Specialist, as designated by the State Bar of California. She has achieved an "AV" rating by Martindale, the highest rating available to a practicing attorney. Meredith has been licensed to practice before all courts in the State of California, including the Court of Appeal for the Southern District of California, since 2003. Meredith is also licensed to practice before the United States Supreme Court. Meredith is also a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst, a designation that enables her to assist her clients in understanding the short-term and long-term financial impact of a divorce settlement.

Meredith specializes in settling cases by way of Mediation, Collaborative Practice or traditional settlement. Meredith is also an experienced and tenacious litigator who will protect your rights in court. Meredith has extensive training in Mediation and Collaborative Divorce, and represents or consults with clients utilizing these processes.

Meredith is a knowledgeable mediator, having completed extensive training with famed mediator Forrest "Woody" Mosten and the National Conflict Resolution Center.

Meredith is often recommended by her colleagues and other mediators to handle complex cases encompassing diverse and difficult issues in dissolutions, including post-dissolution matters.

Meredith obtained her Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, in History and Art History from Brandeis University in 1998. Meredith earned her Juris Doctorate, cum laude, with an honors concentration in Family, Child and Elder Law from California Western School of Law in 2003, where she graduated in the top eleven percent of her class.
